LAND SURVEYING

Milholland Company (MCO) maintains a full service survey crew, directed by Mel Milholland, a Professional Land Surveyor and Professional Engineer with the State of Arkansas. Field coordination and research is conducted by Sam Hampton, PLS. Field crew is supervised by Party Chief, Brent Jordan. Survey parties are equipped with Two (2) “State-of-the-Art” Total Station Electronic Data Collectors and Geographic Information System (GIS) Instrumentation. The Collectors are interfaced with IBM compatible computers for Data download using Tripod Survey Data Link (TDS), EaglePoint and SurvStar Global Positioning System (GPS) Software Programs.

The Milholland Survey crew is experienced in performing boundary and topographic surveys, Alta surveys, site surveys, establishing aerial mapping control, construction staking and layout, and “As-Built” surveys. MCO has conducted existing condition surveys and provided expert testimony in accident cases and property settlement clams. MCO’s Survey Department is experienced in providing Mortgage Surveys on a wide variety of properties - commercial, residential, and rural.

The Survey Department interfaces with every department at MCO, providing survey support and accurate review of all data transfer. MCO Surveyors provide “x, y, z” control for precise Engineering Designs, Layout and Construction Observation.

The Survey Department is an integral part of MCO’s overall package of Services offered to its Clients.

MCO has completed in excess of 2,400 land surveys, including work for US Forestry Service, Corps of Engineers, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, City of Fayetteville, City of Springdale, City of Winslow, Washington and Benton Counties, as well as a large number of private property owners.
